Abstract:

Thoracic Cirripeds collected in the Madagascar waters by Alain Crosnier include 28 species belonging to three suborders and nine families. Six species are described as new and six others are recorded for the first time from this part of the Indian Ocean. [The following species are discussed: Calantica flagellata sp. nov., Euscalpellum triflagellum sp. nov., Neoscalpellum crosnier; sp. nov., Pilsbryiscalpellum condensum, Anguloscalpellum quadrihamulum sp. nov., Ibla cumingi, Paralepas nodulosa, Tetraclita africana sp. nov., Acasta crassa, A. madagascariensis sp. nov., Balanus rhizophorae (Ren and Liu, 1978) nom. nov. [B. littoralis], and Megabalanus volcano].
