Abstract:

<p>The collections of the deep-water Barnacles (Cirripedia, Thoracica), sampled from the east part of equatorial Atlantic (Gulf of Guinea and adjoining water areas) in 1981-1982 an processed In 8 samples from the depths 460-1280 m 8 Cirripedia species were found Glyptelasma carinatum (Hoek, 1883), G hamatum (Calman 1919) Metaverruca imbricata (Gruvel, 1000), Octolasmis hoeki (Stebbing, 1894), Paralepas minuta (Philippi, 1836), Poecilasma kaempferi (Darwin, 1852), Scalpellum scalpellum (L, 1767), Smilium acutum (Hoek, 1883) Three species are new records from the discussed area G carinatum, M imbricata and S acutum Comparison of the received data with the results of the researches of the deep-water Barnacles fauna of the Northeast Atlantic shows their high generality - all the species described in the present work are known as well in the Northeast Atlantic</p>
