1. Zevina (1978b) designated Scalpellum japonicum Hoek, 1883 as the type species of Annadaleum, but Newman & Ross (1971) had already designated S. subflavum as type. Their designation takes priority. However, some later authors such as Young (2007) have followed Zevina's designation.
